Privacy policy
In the context of its activities, Deli NV, having its registered office at 9420 Erpe-Mere, Joseph Cardijnstraat, VAT 422.571.986, RPM/RPR Ghent, Dendermonde division (“PANOS”), collects and uses information about natural persons such as yourself (also referred to as “personal data”). PANOS is committed to protecting your privacy and therefore ensures that the information it collects about you is only used in accordance with the guidelines set out in this policy. PANOS acts in accordance with the applicable privacy legislation including the General Data Protection Regulation (or “GDPR").
Within the context of this commitment to privacy, in this privacy policy, PANOS wants to explain why and how it processes your personal data, as well as outline your rights and our obligations with regard to this data. This policy also informs you of who you can contact at PANOS if you have any questions or if you wish to exercise your privacy rights (see section 5).
1. What personal data is collected from you by PANOS?
In the context of our online ordering platform, we process the following categories of personal data:
i) Identification data such as your name, phone number & email address
ii) Financial information (card number, account holder, payment method etc.)
iii) Data about the order (time, content, order amount etc.)
iv) Electronic identification data (IP address, cookies etc.)
2. Why do we collect and use your personal data?
Your personal data is always processed for a specific and defined purpose, and only the data needed to achieve this purpose is used.
i) For the completion of your order
Personal identification data (name, first name, email address, telephone number, delivery address), data about the order (order time, order content, order type, origin, payment method, order amount) and financial identification data (account holder, card number, payment method, bank account number) are processed to allow us to handle the order correctly and deliver it to the right person at the right time and to provide a refund in the event of a cancellation. In the event of problems relating to the order, the data may be used to get in touch with the end user, but only in the context of providing customer service and problem solving.
ii) For direct and other marketing
We process your personal data to provide you with relevant offers and information about our products and services. We do this for the following reasons:
A. To personalise offers: By analysing your order history and preferences, we can send you personalised offers and promotions that align with your tastes and needs.
B. Improving customer relations: By regularly keeping contact with you, we can build a better relationship with you and keep you informed of new products, special campaigns and events.
C. Efficiency of marketing campaigns: By carrying out targeted marketing campaigns, we can optimise our marketing efforts and ensure that you only receive relevant information.
You always have the right to object to the use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes. If you do not want to receive marketing communication from us, you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us.
iii) For the security and optimisation of the online services
Electronic identification data (IP address, cookies, HTML5 storage) and information regarding your device (type, browser, operating system, app version etc.) are processed to ensure the security of our online services, to prevent fraud, to improve your browsing experience and to optimise our services. If the processing is not strictly necessary to deliver the requested services, we will ask for your consent.

iv) For market research and statistical analyses
Your personal data may be processed for research and statistics, in particular to carry out market research, to monitor your satisfaction levels and to improve our services.
We believe that research and statistics can help us improve our services and innovation, which benefits both you and the community in general. This processing may include creating a profile of you. The creation of a profile will not affect you, except that it may result in personalised satisfaction surveys and improvements to our services, which benefit you. The provision of personal data for this purpose is not strictly necessary and can be avoided by submitting an objection (see the section on exercising your rights).
3. Legal grounds for the collection and use of personal data
Personal data cannot be processed without valid legal grounds. That is why we will only process your personal data if:
(i) we have received your voluntary, explicit and specific consent for the processing of your personal data for one or more specific purposes; or (ii) the processing is necessary for entering into or executing an agreement; or (iii) the processing is necessary to fulfil an obligation under a law, decree or ordinance; or (iv) the processing of the personal data is necessary to defend our legitimate interests. In this case, we will assess whether your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms outweigh ours. Examples of legitimate interests are: providing a cost-effective service, offering our products and services to our customers, fraud prevention and the protection of our IT systems and networks, complying with our company law and social responsibilities.
In most cases your personal data will be processed because this is necessary in the context of our future or existing contractual relationship. For more information about the exact legal grounds for the processing of certain personal data, please see section 5 for our contact details.
4. Who has access to my personal data?
4.1 Within PANOS
Your personal data is stored within PANOS in its IT systems but will only be accessible to staff members who require access to your personal data within the context of their range of tasks at PANOS and solely for the purposes described in section 4.
These staff members must comply with our internal rules and procedures regarding security, confidentiality and protection of personal data. They are also obliged to follow the technical and organisational measures we have taken to protect your personal data. The security measures have been designed taking into account the current technological state of affairs, the execution costs, as well as the nature, scope and risks associated with processing personal data.
4.2 Outside PANOS
Some personal data is also passed on to specific categories of recipients outside of PANOS in the context of the purposes described above. This information is shared only when strictly necessary. In particular, this consists of:
(i) the franchisee that operates the store where you placed your order so they can prepare your order (and deliver it);
(ii) our service providers such as consultants, IT providers or other technical processors (such as the developers of this ordering platform);
(iii) banks and payment service providers for making and receiving payments;
(iv) government bodies or associated organisations when we are legally obliged to forward data;
(v) third parties that advise us like accountants and lawyers, such as in the context of the transfer or acquisition of (part of) the company; and
(vi) third parties that are involved in investigations into potential fraud and other legal infringements.
5. What are my rights, and how do I exercise them?
You always have the right to access the data that PANOS processes about you and rectify incorrect or incomplete personal data. In some cases, you can also object to the processing of this data, request a restriction of the processing or ask us to erase certain data. Finally, under some circumstances, you have the right to request that some of your personal data be transferred to yourself or a third party.
When you have given consent for the processing of your personal data, you can revoke this consent at any time, but be aware that in some cases this means you will not be able to make optimal use of all our services. A revocation has no effect on previous processing. In addition, you can always object to the use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes with a simple request, which is free-of-charge.

PANOS takes your feedback regarding our processing of personal data seriously and will respond as soon as possible. Therefore please contact us if you have any feedback.
If you are dissatisfied with the way in which we process your personal data, you have the right to submit a complaint to the Belgian Data Protection Authority, the Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit (GBA).
6. For how long is my data retained?
The exact retention period depends on the purpose for which the personal data is processed.
As a starting point, PANOS uses the following criteria for the retention of personal data: (i) personal data is retained for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected and (ii) in line with the relevant legal, regulatory and internal requirements.
i) Your order and payment data is stored for a maximum period of 10 years (after the date of your last order). This is necessary for administrative purposes, to handle any disputes or complaints and to fulfil our fiscal and accounting obligations.
ii) If you have given us permission to send you marketing communication, we store your contact details until you revoke your consent or until you unsubscribe from our marketing messages, with a maximum duration of two years after the last meaningful contact.
iii) Cookies and similar technologies: the retention period for cookies varies by the type of cookie. You can find out more about this in our cookie policy.
7. Amendments to this policy
The content of this policy may be amended. This privacy policy was last amended on 28/04/2025. Future amendments or changes to the processing of your personal data as described in this privacy policy will be announced in advance via our website(s) (e.g. in a pop-up window) as well as through our usual communication channels (e.g. email, if we have your email address). Please make sure you have the latest version.
